Hello all,
I just upgraded from the Premiere to the Tivo Roamio and I have to say that I love the wifi.
So here is the issue. I have an Onkyo TX-NR727 and a Panny 65" which is connected to the Tivo Roamio via HDMI through the A/V receiver. I am getting a major sound delay/drop off when I switch from live TV to the Guide and back again, or when I use the Tivo button. This delay is like 10 to 30 seconds before the receiver picks up the digital format. I can hear and see the switching when the receiver starts to pick up the audio. After the delay and multiple audio switching, it then comes in crystal clear.
I never had this issue at all on the Premiere boxes that I just upgraded from. Also the same thing occurs when I start up an app like Netflix. No sounds until the receiver recognizes the audio source about 20 seconds into Breaking Bad for instance.
Again, it's not the receiver as far as I can tell, as I just cancelled the premiere subscription and this was not an issue at all.
The speaker configuration is set up in 3.1 right now as I don't have 5.1 fully set up. Is it possible that the Roamio is causing a glitch on the conversion from 5.1 to 3.1? Not sure.
Any help would be appreciated.
