That other thread brings a question, since the program for the Roamio machine is not on the drive anymore, shouldn't it boot fine even with a bad drive? Then just get dropouts in playing if disk errors or no play at all if drive is dead? Someone ought try a bad drive in a Roamio and see so we will know what to look for. With only shows on the drive it ought to work till hard drive actually dies I would think, with dropouts of course. Anyone know?
