So while I celebrate 10 year anniversary of my Series 2 and 6 year anniversary of my TivoHD, the other day my TivoHD froze on me. I had to unplug it for some time and then everything was fine. It happened couple of times again along with couple of random reboots.
This Tivo HD has no cable, cable cards or external drives. It just records OTA and has one upgraded internal drive (1TB).
I had been away from the forum for a while so I needed to refresh my memory. I searched the forum and read about this issue. I found that more than likely it was an issue with the Hard disk drive, so I did a Kickstart 54 on it. To my surprise everything came back perfect.
So, I have three questions.

- If not, what is the best/quietest internal hard drive to be used in 1TB or 2TB range?
- Also, what is the best way to put the image on the new drive (and the source of it). It's been a while since I did this.
