I find it interesting to every so often look at my viewing habits to see what shows have gained favor or lost favor basing it somewhat on how much I look forward to a new episode being available to watch, versus those that I'm happy to let sit, sometimes even past another episode airing before watching.
These are just among the current crop, and I'm not going to bother getting into the ones I've mostly abandoned, many after several years of following practically religiously. I'll save those for later. :)
Outlander
I wasn't expecting much after the first episode, but it's now to the point where I'll watch it the same night or the next night if I got too busy the night it airs.
Manhattan
I find myself enjoying this a lot, though wish they'd do more science and lay off some of the soap opera. Though I am actually getting more into the spousal efforts to work/keep busy and how the high paranoia is hurting the project so much.
Teen Wolf
What started as something of a guilty pleasure has turned into one of my overall favorites. Among many other attributes it really builds on the close friendships each of the main characters shares and how when working together they can accomplish most anything for the common good, despite some preconceived notions.
The Knick
I'm rooting for the two main doctors to come to respect each other for their capabilities and move past the prejudices. But it's also a pretty rich show for how the medical conditions of the era are portrayed. We've come a long way.
Please Like Me
I'm practically dying laughing this season; the character dynamics are just amazingly good, no matter how strange the personalities. But there's so much humanity in it, and so much normalcy about what the characters are going through, it's so easy to relate to somehow. Which makes it personal.
Finding Carter
Not at all what I was expecting, but a very good plot for a show, atypical of a lot of teen drama these days.
