Big Bang Theory - The Hook-up Reverberation OAD 10/6/14

I had a weird showing tonight. This is with DirecTV. I got stage directions, starting from a voiceover during the theme song. Things like "Penny enters the room" or "Sheldon stares into space" or "The boys are in Leonard's apartment". I assume these are for visually impaired viewers but I don't have a setting for that on my DVR. These were all audio, not closed caption.



I'm curious if this was a national thing or did my local station accidentally throw the wrong switch?
