Yeah, I know: what's a commercial, I have a TiVo. But frequently I'm in hotel rooms without a TiVo, and have to listen to them. And have you ever really listened to a commercial and wondered "Who wrote that crap?"
Case in point: the Marie Osmond commercial for Nutri System. She starts by saying the most women care about the way they look, but for her, it was all about the way she felt. And one day she looked in the mirror and saw she was overweight. HEY! MARIE! You just said it was about the way you felt, then you talk about the way you appeared. Which is it? Then she goes on to say she chose the only option available: Nutrisystem. What, you can't afford Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig? Heck, her net worth is around $17 million, she could afford a personal chef!
How does drivel like this make it from somebody's idea through a committee onto the airwaves?
