Momentary Pause at Recording Startup?

I setup my Pro to record the NLCS playoffs on Fox1 using a Season Pass. I was watching Fox1 prior to the recording starting. At the time the recording started, there was a very brief pause where the video and audio momentarily froze on my TV while the Pro started the recording. After the very brief pause, everything returned to normal. I've noticed this before on other channels so this was not an isolated incident. Is this normal operation for a Roamio?
