The above diagram lays out my coax network. Everything worked great until I recently tried adding the part labeled in orange. Adding that MoCA wireless extender and the extra splitter caused one of my TiVo mini's to fail (the one that is on ethernet, not the one shown here on Coax).
I'm technical but coax is one area where I'm weak so I'm all ears about the mess of splitters on the network and how I could improve everything. It seemed odd that the simple introduction of a new MoCA would cause the TiVo mini to get a strangled connection from the Roamio but I'm thinking it was actually due to the extra splitter that was placed on the line between the Roamio and everything else.
Please comment and let me know what I'm doing wrong.
Furthermore, you'll notice that one of the splitter-like devices actually contains a tapI would love to know the difference between that and a splitter. I've searched for it, but still don't quite know in the context of my network.
