I recently received the 20.4.6 update on both a Tivo Roamio and an older Tivo Premiere. Immediately after receiving this upgrade, both of these boxes began missing recordings. When looking through the history on the boxes in an effort to determine the cause both showed problem getting tuner. I immediately assumed this was software related as both boxes had been great up until this upgrade rolled out. After a discussion with Tivo they suggested I replace the Roamio as it was under warranty. I was not convinced this was a box problem as it appeared on both units. I called Time Warner Cable and had the tuning adaptors and cablecards hit and re-paired in both boxes and have seen no further issues. I had never seen this issue before in any Tivos despite having run cable card Tivos for more than 7 years. I believe that some portion of the new software caused the cablecard/tuning adapter issues. I post this only to help someone who may find themselves in a similar situation. Call your cable company first and try reactivating your equipment if you are seeing this issue.
