A few years ago, I upgraded by Tivo 3 through Weaknees. My unit will now record up to 288 hours in HD.
I found I qualified for a Romeo with lifetime service for $400 (I want to keep the option of OTA,)--but it can record only 75 hours in HD.
This leads me to a few questions:
1. Can I transfer the second drive from the Tivo 3 to the Romeo? Are the machines compatible?
2. Can I do it myself of should I have a tech do it? Im capable of replacing a hard drive in a desktop or a laptop.
3. I assume I will void the warranty, so it would probably be in my best interest to wait 90 days. Do you agree or disagree?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
