I've installed KMTTV and have used it to put programs on my tablet and PC. Works well and is reasonably fast. I haven't used PYTIVO and understand it's use is to put videos onto Tivo.
So, here's my question: Are folks using the two in combination to download a program, delete it from Tivo, remove the commercials, and put it back onto Tivo. If that's the case, will the programs show up in the Tivo just as if they had been recorded by Tivo with the meta data exactly the same?
Also, how good is commercial removal? There were similar programs on Windows Media Center but it took a quite a bit of tweaking, often specific to each and every TV series, to get it so that commercials were removed without losing parts of the show. The TV networks like to do their best to confuse programs that try to remove commercials and it's an ever moving target.
