What's up with TiVo support?

I just found a heck of a deal a deal of a LIFETIME. I paid 10 whole bucks for a series 3 TCD648250B with a bad hard drive in it. Well I dropped a 1tb in her and found out it is a lifetime TiVo. But the jerk at TiVo would not put it on my account unless I could find the owner????? It came from a not for profit place that takes in broke and old stuff to sale to make moneys for people in there area, "Like goodwill". The first guy would not budge so I just hung up and my lovey wife heard me pouring out some prime words so she says let me see the phone baby. Well me thinking sure you can do it huh? She called them I wrote down everything she would need to know I walked out of the room to get something to drink "ice tea" and when I came back he says ok it done is there anything else I can do for you? So the next time you have troubles with a rep get your sweet talking wife to take care of it.
