I bought an open box WD extender - the 1 TB approved by TiVo. It is the older model.
Tried to connect to my Roamio OTA and it would not recognize it. Yes, I tried everything, multiple times.
Does anybody know whether the Roamio OTA has the same eSata port with Bolt? I know Bolt needs a separate eSata cable to work with older WD extenders purchased before, as the stock cable would not work, but I don't know whether Roamio OTA needs the same "new" cable.
Called TiVo and they were clueless (as usual nowadays).
I am out of options at this point, and I have wasted my money with the Extender. I am hoping that Roamio OTA has the same eSata port as Bolt, and the new cable is needed, so that I can order it from TiVo.
