I use pyTivo to transfer recordings to and from my Roamio. When the guide update happened, I was one of the ones affected by transferred files being given an estimated size and having to delete those transferred programs and bring them back to get an accurate space used to display.
Yesterday, I decided to bring back entire seasons of a couple of old shows. These have been re-encoded to be much smaller. When the Tivo got to 33% full, it started to delete other programs to make space and the recently deleted had already been cleared out.
I have since removed a few programs, rebooted, etc. The space remains about 33% full and when new programs are recorded, it clears the recently deleted and deletes other programs as if it were full again. File sizes are being reported correctly for the individual programs, either transferred or recorded, and the overall space used is accurate. fwiw, nothing is set to use kuid.
I'm assuming they fixed the display of sizes for files and the overall usage, but whatever is used to manage deleting is still based on some inaccurate hidden value. Anyone else experiencing the same?
