Mini can't see Elite but MoCa works?

I am trying to troubleshoot my mother's setup and can't figure out what the issue is. She has the Verizon FiOS, now Frontier, router with built in MoCa. In the living room she has the Elite setup as a MoCa bridge for a couple devices in the room like her Roku.

In the bedroom I have the Mini hooked up via coax. Both TiVos can dial home so MoCa is working, but the Mini can't see the Elite. It worked previously but her battery backup died so I hadn't had a chance to replace it until last night. Upon booting up it saw the Elite but as soon as you picked a recording from My Shows it said it couldn't connect. I then forced a connection to make sure it was working with MoCa and it connected fine. It downloaded an update that had been released since it last connected and was restarting when I left.

I figure I will try rebooting everything tonight but last time I did this it broke MoCa on the Elite causing it to switch over to trying to dial out over Ethernet. The only way I was able to get it to work was to reboot without anything connected to the ethernet port.

Her house isn't easy to wire otherwise I would just drop a few cat6 lines at each TV.
