TIVO Roamio set up help please!

For the love of god, someone please help me!!!! I bought the TIVO Roamio and an HDTV Antenna (one of those flat circle kind that are supposed to stick to anything). I thought I would be able to record and watch my favorite shows on regular TV channels but I'm old and not technically savy and cant get the damn thing to work! I followed the steps to hook it up but wasn't getting regular OTA channels so I started messing with it. Now my TIVO remote wont work although the TIVO is indeed on....
