Lost RF Functionality of Roamio Remote

In the process of trying to update my brother-in-law's Roamio OTA remote so that it could also control the power and volume of his TV, I screwed it up so that it lost all connection (both IR and RF) with the Tivo. I managed to get IR working again but had no luck with RF. Any help would be appreciated in getting RF to work again. Thanks.
