Tivo Series 3 drops off of home network multiple times per day

I have a series 3 Tivo with a wifi connection via Comcast. I had problems with a third party router so now I just have my Comcast modem/router. I use WPS to connect from the Tivo to the cable network. The Tivo drops off the internet connection at least 4 times per day. I unplug and then replug in the Tivo wifi adapter and then I press the WPS button and that usually lets me reconnect the Tivo.

What do you think could be causing this? Is it likely Comcast, is it a faulty Tivo wifi...
