Upgrading from Premiere to Bolt and app performance. Is my experience typical?

Really happy with how much better the HBO Go and YouTube apps perform on the Bolt+ compared to the Premiere. On the premiere the HBO Go app was unusable - essentially a perpetual "hourglass" animation. And YouTube was usable on the Premiere but slow and cumbersome. With the Premiere I would use the apps on my smartphone or iPad and then Chromecast to the TV (bypassing my beloved TiVo) for these services.
