The BBQ Pit Wars final episode will not record under a TiVo SP. They changed the name of the finale from "BBQ Pit Wars" to "BBQ Pit Wars: Kingsford Invitational". It is this Saturday June 21 on Destination America, at 10/9. Set a manual recording.
This is a spinoff of BBQ Pitmasters, similar concept with many of the same teams. It's only five episodes, and I think they are showing the first four before the finale.
BTW, this is a perfect example of how my OCD TV procedures worked. I use FutonCritic to keep track of the shows I watch, and new shows I want to try. I print it weekly and compare it to the To-Do List on my TiVo. I use it as a reminder system to set SPs for upcoming shows, and to make sure everything that should record will record. I noticed this wasn't on the Tivo, and a little research showed why. And to think my wife makes fun of me... :D
