Ive got a lifetimed 2-tuner Premiere that's been in use for about a year and a half.... pulled out its cablecard, got it moved over to my parent's Tivo account and gave it to them. They live several blocks away, in the same town. They picked up a new Motorolla M card at the local office. They had a non-lifetimed Premiere set up in the exact spot I dropped in their "new" one that has been working great for about 1.5 years.
Last night I was on the phone with Comcast cablecard activation line for about two hours, ending with what they said was an "Illogical error" when attempting to pair the Host ID and the cablecard on THEIR end in their computer. After re-confirming everything a bunch of times they suggested that we get another card.
Today I spent another 3.5 hours on the phone with them. We got two new cards and they both had the same problem, that they were not able to pair the host ID and serial number in the account on their end! I tried two different times with two different agents on the cablecard line.
So what was their fix? Roll a truck of course! First appt available? Next freakin Tuesday!
Anyone heard of this "illogical error" when trying to setup a cable card before?
aaarrrggghhh.
edit to add: ooops, guess this should go in "help" :-/
