I've done some searching but can't quite find a thread the describes the behavior I'm seeing: I have a brand new Romaio Plus. I'm using Charter Cable with a tuning adapter. For the most part, all is well, with all 6 tuners allowing viewing/recording.
However some times when I flip between the tuners, I see only a black screen/no audio. Pressing Play doesn't make it go away, so it's not just paused. I thought at first maybe this was a slow tuning adapter/cable card issue, however I've noticed that the 30 minute buffer is intact. And in fact if I play with the Rew/FF/Advance buttons, I can get it to play. Then it continues to work fine after I'm caught up to live. It's just when I first switch to the tuner I get the problem. Additionally I sometimes see a similar issue when I change channels (using the same tuner I'm already on). The initial screen will be black, and only after 8-10 seconds do I get picture/sound. Sometimes it comes up without user intervention, sometimes I have to monkey with the ff/rew before it will.
Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?
Note neither of the above problems occurs ALL time - just often enough to be bothersome. From what I can tell so far, I've had NO problems with scheduled recordings getting done properly. (Although since it's summer I don't have a lot of those going on currently)
