how to hook up a tivo hd and cable modem in same room to establish a moca network

hello first time poster so be kind.I am trying to connect a tivo hd and my cable modem which are in the same roomto a motorola sbm1000 video adapter to establish my moca network . Please tell me how to do it. thank you
