Pioneer DVR and HD Channels

Does the Pioneer Elite DVR-57H DVD receive and record HD channels and video. I was originally looking at DVRs for simply copy VHS to Digital. When I came across the DVR-810 in a forum it sounded awesome. It had a DVD burner, and a tuner and the TiVo lifetime basic service. Later I found out the tuner did not receive HD channels and it did not record in HD. I don't know if this is a factor when recording VHS tapes but it is with over the air or cable HD. I have heard really good things about the Pioneers so I was wondering which other ones come with the TiVO service and HD support.

Also on the TiVo lifetime, is that built into all of the DVR-57H and DVR-810s or was that an option.
