Hello, we are finally biting the bullet and have ordered a new Roamio Plus and a Tivo Mini to replace our XL4 and Premiere.
I'm hoping for a smooth transition so wanted to get the group consensus on the best way to deal with cable cards.
Both existing devices have cable cards, of course.
We have no premium channels, so in the past I've thought I could just swap the card over and it seems to work for a while and then starts having issues, so I know we can't just do that.
Is the best way to put one of the cards in the new Roamio when it comes and then call to try to activate it? Will it give me problems since it was active in an old device? It seems like no matter what, I always have to call 2 or 3 times to get everything cleared away.
I've got the Comcast CableCard special number, and they're usually pretty good, but just want to make sure I do it the right way, especially since we're in prime TV watching time.
