Our cable company offers all their stations through clear qam
I went through the setup and tried setting this thing up. Well at first I noticed their were no HD stations, just regular stations. My TV gets all the stations no problem.
So after monkeying with it, I was able to get the HD stations when I did the Channel Scan. But it does not pull the guide info for it.
I also noticed many duplicate stations such as 46 is supposed to be A & E but I think I get three channel listings for 46 where A & E is the last one.
When I channel up it will go to either the first, or second one and gets stuck. I would have to type in 47 to continue or go down a channel to get to A & E. It will go down channels without locking but if I go up channels it will lock up on it. I also noticed the guide does the same thing. Their your actually stuck with only that channel in the guide where you have to exit the guide and go back to I. This happens on some other channels as well.
Some of the higher channels are also mislabeled . In fact it will even act like its changing channels but when the signal comes in you realize you are stuck on a given channel that had multiple listings.
As far as the HD stations again, I also noticed is I do both a ant and cable selection in the guide setup, then I get a listing for the ant channel, but of course no pic as I don't have an antenna and where too far to pick stations with the antenna I had, and the cable version such as 16.1 would give me the video, audio, and station name but no programming or guide info.
Both the cable company and Tivo were of no help. Cable company said I had to call Tivo because they don't provide support for it and don't even offer any options and Tivo said I need a CableCard which the cable company don't offer because its all in Clear QAM, even their premium stations. In fact Tivo said I would have to go with a other DVR. But they had no recommendations for one.
I use to have a media center PC that also had issues with station guide then eventually went all goofy on me. Listings online also display multiple stations on the same channel.
I'm at a lost here what to do.
Also I cant even delete stations from either the guide or uncheck them in the channel list, they just come right back and really mix up the channel names on those statins with multiple listings.
