Last week I got my Roamio Pro and Mini. I have using the Pro with WiFi and Mini with Ethernet, so I ordered a MoCa adapter to set up a MoCa network. I got the adapter and set up the Pro and it did fine. Then I tried to set up the Mini and it wouldn't set up. I got the normal C33 error message I have received when trying other setups. I called Tivo support and a very helpful guy went through various steps to try to locate the issue.
He said that my 40 db SNR is probably causing the MoCa network to not work. He suggested that I move the modem into the other room to try to use a higher channel, which he said can sometimes work. It didn't make any difference. So now I have a MoCa adapter that I can't use, since I can't mix the MoCa with the Roamio and Ethernet for the Mini. Very frustrating.
He said that my SNR needs to be below 35 for MoCa to work. Have others been able to get MoCa to work when it is over 35?
He told me to get Comcast to come out and put an attenuator on the line; which should resolve the issue. Has anyone ever contacted Comcast about an SNR issue? Did Comcast even know how to fix the problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions. I am at my wits end.
