MoCA vs CAT5/Ethernet?

I currently have several TiVos network together via my home network (ethernet). A 4-tuner Premiere is feeding two TiVO Minis as well as two Series 3s on the network. For the most part, all seems good, but I have had occasional hicups with Minis. Nothing major and its usually resolved by a simple router/switch reboot. I have two questions about moving forward though.

First, I am looking to probably upgrade and get a 4 or 6 tuner Romio. I think they have built-in MoCA support, correct? If so, this has made me wonder if MoCA might be a better way to go. Is this the case? Maybe not.

Second, I also have two possible locations in my home that actually aren't fully networked like the other rooms, but do have access to coaxial jacks. Therefore, MoCa (with a Mini) might be the only option for these rooms if I decide to do something. However, i think these two possible room's coaxial jacks are on splitters. Will MoCA work with a coaxial splitter on the line? Or is this a problem for two way communicating back to a 4/6 tuner hub TiVO?
