So I thought I would start a thread for this show. I thought about a whole season thread but this seems like more of a show that is better served with individual topics.
I liked the pilot episode quite a bit. I was very fearful that they would stray very far from the book but happily it seems like they stuck to the story in the book pretty faithfully. It may help that the book's author is listed as a Consulting Producer.
I have read the books so I have to be careful of what I say in these threads.
I will say that I think they went through a pretty good chunk of the first book in one episode. Paced correctly I could see them getting through the trilogy in 10 episodes (they are not big books coming in at just over 300 pages each).
I've got to say though that knowing the who story from the books hinders the enjoyment of trying to figure out exactly what is going on.
