How to transfer contracts?

I have a TiVo BOLT which I have decided that I don't want anymore. It has about 6 months service left. Is it possible to transfer the service to somebody else (when I sell the unit)? If so, what are the steps to do the transfer?

I thought I'd ask before posting it for sale on eBay or craiglist.
