I have an XL4, a Roamio Plus and two minis. All connected via Moca- Actiontec at modem.
Out of the blue I fired up one Mini whose host is the Roamio and tried to play a recording and got a connection error. Tried Live TV and got same error. Switched host to the XL4 and everything worked fine. Rebooted the Roamio. Rebooted the Mini. Nada. Ran guided setup on the mini. While it showed both the XL4 and the Roamio as choices, it said no dice for the Roamio if I tried to clicking on it. With XL4 chosen as host, I can go to the bottom of My Shows and it shows "Roamio", but when I choose that it comes up showing the XL4 in an SD screen.
I'm kinda at a loss here. Obviously the MOCA is working; internet is working. All units are working fine on their own. It's just that the one Mini will not fully connect with its usual host.
Any thoughts?
Solved: I rebooted my router and the mini saw the Roamio once again. I really can't figure out why the router was the issue as the moca worked for all devices since the mini in question could access the Internet and see and play from the XL4.
