Orange screen

I have a Comcast DVR and a TivoHD that are connected to a HDMI switch and then to my TV. That way I can switch between them. After watching a saved program on the Comcast DVR I switched the TV to the TivoHD. I got an orange screen and the letters HDMI-1 in the right top corner which is normal because it is the input number of the TV. But after that went away I got another set of letters saying DVI-1. I thought that the Tivo had some how gotten switched to a different output format but could not find anything about it in the Tivo book. I ended up removing the power cord from the back of the Tivo and after waiting a bit, plugged it back in. I got the start up screen and everything was back to normal. I think my wife had pushed two buttons at the same time on the Comcast remote because we have had that cause other problems with the Tivo. Any ideas?
