I recently purchased a Roamio Pro and three Minis. I had coax in the rooms where the 3 Minis were going to be installed but the Charter installer said that I had too much noise on the coax lines and he couldn't tell me why. I previously had AT&T Uverse that used those connections with no problems.
So, since I already had an ethernet connection in one of the rooms, I got my son (who installs & repairs commercial networks) to run ethernet cables to the other two rooms. My router only has four ports so I use a Cisco switch and we hooked everything up and it all works with no flaws.
Here's the problem: Last night, when I went to bed, I had 3 programs recording at the same time on the Tivo. My wife was upstairs, watching a live tv show via one of the Minis. I turned on the tv in my bedroom and it said that all the channels were in use.
*Since the Roamio Pro has six tuners and we were only using four tuners when I turned on the tv to use the fifth tuner, shouldn't there have been an available tuner?
