We travel with our RV and always took our Premier with us and never had any trouble connecting to the TiVo mothership using a Verizon personal hotspot. We've upgraded to a Roamio Plus and forgot the hotspot. I thought that I could just use my iPhone's AT&T hotspot and all would be fine. My computer and other devices connect fine but Roamio won't.
First I try to connect via wireless. Is it safe to assume that Roamio has its own wireless adapter? (I also tried using my TiVo adapter with the same results). The TiVo finds my iPhone and I've entered the password correctly (and yes I've triple checked that). The device goes through its cycle and delivers a "wireless network problem N06" error. I went to the TiVo help site which talks about software version which doesn't help me.
My next step is to buy an Ethernet cable and try to connect the TiVo to my laptop but I'm not sure how I would do that. If anyone has that procedure I'd appreciate if you could list those steps.
Also, before I waste anymore time, is the Roamio capable of receiving OTA signals?
