Skip Mode is my favorite new feature!

I use base Roamios for Over The Air recording, and have been happy with them. I didn't pay much attention when the Skip Mode and Quick Mode features were added to the software. After finally using them, I have to say that Skip Mode is one of the most convenient features added to the TiVo software, right up there with Groups (Groups added several years ago, which shows you how long I've been a TiVo user.)

I've only been using Skip Mode for a few days, but I love it.

Those of you running older TiVos without Skip Mode should seriously consider getting a Roamio or Bolt.
