The Amazing Race | Salt That Sand! | OAD 4/22/16 *spoilers*

Wow, I'm surprised at how far behind Sheri and Cole were when they left the Pit Stop. The editing last week made it seem like they were at Atlantis at the same time as at least one other team and were not that far behind, but it appears they were nearly three hours behind the next closest team and almost four hours behind the leaders.

Lucky for the airport bunch up.

Those snakes were awesome! I don't know why so many of the racers were freaked out. It's not like the snakes were going to bite them. And Zach and Rachel even seemed to want to immediately wash their hands as if the snakes contaminated them.

I'm surprised at all the talk about how Kurt has done his full allotment of Roadblocks and now Brodie has to do the rest. In prior episodes they made it seem like Brodie was very capable and athletic, but suddenly the narrative is that he's a dunce and their team will be disadvantaged by him doing Roadblocks.

That Speed Bump soup looked yummy. I'm not sure why Cole was so convinced the meat must be something gross. But I was pretty impressed with their team overall in this episode, having to do the Speed Bump and still coming in third.

I didn't understand all the consternation about Rachel doing the salt task. Sure, it was difficult and took her longer than it would have taken Zach, but then he got to build the kite and I'm sure he built it much faster than she would have.

Those kites were super cool. And freakin' HUGE! I wonder how hard it is to get those way up in the sky and keep them there.

It will be interesting to see next week how close Burnie and Ashley really were to finishing first. Phil made it sound like it was close, but we never saw any camera shots of both teams approaching the pit stop together.

Would have liked to see Zach and Rachel make it further, but this was probably the right spot for them to go out, given that the remaining teams have all been consistently better than them. I liked their "walking the plank" exit.
