Still a newbie, but just for everyone's consideration, I'd like to point out, that not all personal backgrounds are the same and therefore, when a statement is made while you're explaining "how to" on any subject, remember that the way you state something can cause different assumptions if you're not specific enough. Not always a problem, but a wrong assumption can lead to much frustration.

I'd like to know which option is best for upgrading a Bolt to 3TB. Why limit it to 3 TB? Because, according to several posts, the Bolt will automatically format a 3TB drive with no additional work being necessary.
The three options are: 1. 2.5 inch FF HD replacing the original Bolt HD.
Option 2. 3.5 inch FF internal HD with external enclosure and replacing the original SATA cable.
Option 3. 3.5 in External HD and replacing the original SATA cable.
And, which mfr would be the best choice for each scenario?
