New to cord cutting

Hi, very illiterate on the subject, just looking for some basic info. I currently have cable & 3 dvrs. Im wanting to go to ota + tivo. I understand if I have a netflix subscription I can use that with tivo. I also see there is a live tv option. what is the cost for the live tv shows. Can I record those live shows or only my ota content? Can I record in 1 room & watch in another? can you pause live tv with tivo. Thank you in advance
