Does anyone know what the numbers mean? I look at them at the tivo box diagnostics page under the settings menu, rather than the regular signal strength page, for a few reasons. It doesn't interrupt tuners, shows all 4 tuners simultaneously, shows SNR, and signal strength.
Almost all of my channels have 72% signal strength, and 29dB SNR, ranging from stations I know I have a solid signal, to stations that will pixelate and even drop out during heavy weather. It kinda makes the signal quality measurements somewhat useless.
I'm preparing an upgrade to my OTA antenna setup, and wanted to establish a performance baseline prior to upgrades, so as to be able to assess the overall success of my endeavor when it is complete. Unless someone can shed light on the meaning of these numbers, I suppose I will have to use signal strength data from some other device.
