Guide Data Update: guide navigation slowness

I browsed the recent posts and while I see people reporting issues with the new Rovi guide data, none seem to match my issue. I've got an XL4 and when I pull up the guide to browse the channels and see what's on, just moving from one channel to the next takes SECONDS. Mind you, I'm not switching channels. I'm just moving up/down and left/right in the guide. It didn't behave like this before the update but I don't see how simply updating the guide data from a difference source would cause this, either.

So is anyone else experiencing this?
