Open letter to TivoMargaret

TivoMargarets inbox cannot accept any more messages, so I leave it here. I am fed up with Tivo streaming.

I have been traveling for much of the summer. I have repeatedly tried to stream programs to my iPhone 6+ from my Tivo Roamio Pro and it fails 90% of the time. Sometimes I can watch for 2 minutes, sometimes 30, but I never get through a show.

I switch to Netflix from the same locations and streaming works fine. My home network is an AC1900 dual core router. I get 120 MBPS when I run speed tests using a 5G connection. My Tivo however is connected to the router by a hardwire, so Wifi issues are not the problem.

Can you give some reason, any reason to believe that you will ever fix this problem? You seem to have abandoned development and/or support for streaming. I am a software developer who has specialized in networking since the 90s and I would be humilated if this was my product. It simply doesn't work and Tivo does not seem to care.

Please explain to me why my $1200 investment in Tivo gear and lifetime subscription is not a total waste. Why should I not just junk it and get the Xfinity X1?
