Technical Question
My antenna delivers a signal that both my Roamio and HDTV can understand directly.
My Roamio also delivers the same signal that my HDTV understands.
Is there any reason that my Roamio would not be able to understand the same signal that a cable box would deliver to my HDTV?
Antenna------>HDTV
Antenna------>Roamio---->HDTV
Cable Box---->HDTV
Cable Box---->Roamio---->HDTV
I am in Canada so there is no cablecard involved. My thinking is that the cable box translates the cable signal into a signal that the HDTV understands, so wouldn't the Roamio (or any TiVo for that matter) also interpret the cable box signal the same way as it interprets the antenna signal?
From all the reading I done on the forums here I figure there must be something I am missing. Can someone either help me figure this out or confirm my thinking that this should work?
