Mini sees main box shows but can't watch?

I have a mini that can see what's recorded on the main box, but when I try and play it, I get a Can't Watch Now message because of a connection problem between it and the main box. Same with trying to watch live TV. If I go into the mini's Network Settings and Connect to Tivo Services, there are no problems. And when I look in Settings on the main box, it shows that mini with various numbers updating just like the other minis. Nothing looks amiss. If I switch out the mini with another one...
