Transferring between TiVo's

I recently got in on the $300 lifetime bolt deal with S2 box trade in- nice, which means I have a basic roamio im decommissioning. what I'd like to do is bring it to my parents house who also subscribe to Comcast but get more channels and attach it to their Network which also has a roamio basic. Will I'll be able to easily transfer TiVo shows directly from their TiVo to my TiVo? Do both Tivos require a cable card to be inserted at the time of transfer? Is this best done from the TiVo...
