just though I sound share this story in case it helps someone

I moved into my house 4 years ago, on the whole CATV and internet has been good but with odd and intermittent issues. About a year ago I had engineer out who said I had a discontinuity in my internal wiring and he chose to fix by overdriving signal with two amps and pulling it backdown with chokes.
