Sports re-airings and the NEW flag

With summer comes the re-airing of college football and basketball games from last spring and last fall on channels like SECHD, ESPNU, PAC12, etc. I have WishLists setup for these sports and had them setup to record "NEW only" yet these re-airings have the NEW flag set even though they were first aired months ago. There is nothing in the description that gives a clue that this is a re-run of a game recorded last fall. There is no Original Air Date shown. I have opened a ticket with TiVo...
