Uncheck Search This Forum Only by Default

Is there anyway to have "Search this Forum Only" unchecked by default when initiating a search? Whenever I've used search I have never wanted that option. I may want to only search the thread I'm reading, but I have never wanted only search the specific forum I'm in.
