Anyone had to return DirecTV TiVo?

I haven't been willing to get a DirectTV HD TiVo because I hate the idea that you have to buy it but you don't own it.

Has anyone been forced to return a unit that they bought?



We have older DirecTV TiVos and a variety of TiVos, all of which are mine. We keep going in circles about upgrading our dish but keep getting stuck on this idea. My husband feels that they aren't going to want a used unit back. I just can't get past those terms.
