Hi all-
I haven't had an active Tivo for about 2 years now since I switched to DirecTV and got one of their whole home (now known as Genie) boxes. I'm ready to cut the cord from satellite/dish and go strictly OTA supplemented by Hulu/Netflix/Amazon.
In the basement I have 2 (presumably) working TivoHDs with upgraded drives. Neither has lifetime service. Are there enough features on the newer Roamio devices to warrant upgrading and getting a lifetime subscription? The new interface looks nicer, but the last time I paid attention (when Premiere was just coming out) it had some issues. What other advantages other than a better interface/snappier response would I get from a Roamio over a TivoHD? Otherwise I think I will just reactivate one of those and see how I like it for OTA service.
Thanks for any help.
