Using tivo with DirecTV....... a few questions

I have done some research on this matter but still have a few questions.



At my primary residence, I have a few tivo premieres and also a roamio. My cable provider is Verizon FIOS.



I am considering purchasing a Tivo for use at a different residence. This location has DirecTV service.



I am somewhat of a hoarder when it comes to videos. I like to offload content from my DVR to my computer so that I can watch things again in the future any time I want.



However, it has come to my attention that the DirecTV tivo model THR22 does NOT work with the standard tools such as kmttg or tivo to go. Is that correct?



If the answer to that is no, then is there some workaround to this? For example, would it be possible for me to record shows on a THR22 and then transfer them over onto a Premiere on the same LAN, then extract shows from the Premiere?



If that will not work, then is it possible to configure a home theater PC that can record shows from DirecTV?



If at all possible, I want the ability to get recorded content on a PC without having to mess with real time transfers(such as hauppage).



Any other thoughts, solutions, workarounds that you can offer?
